Time to improve organ donation and transplantation in Germany! EKHA supports the call from the ProTransplant Alliance

On the occasion of the German Organ Donation Day on 4 June, EKHA supports the ProTransplant Alliance in calling German policy makers to reverse the worrying trend of organ donation drop in the country. For 15 years, the number of organ transplants in Germany has been falling, while the willingness to donate has been steadily increasing. This leads to unacceptable waiting time for kidney patients who need a transplant (which can go up to 10 years in the country).
