EKHA’s 2020 European Kidney Forum to be held under the sponsorship of the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union
13 January 2020
EKHA is proud to announce that the 2020 edition of its annual European Kidney Forum entitled ‘A Shared Vision for Improving Organ Donation and Transplantation in the EU beyond 2020’, has been officially approved as an event to be held under the sponsorship of the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
In light of the renewed political momentum around organ donation and transplantation and to build on the success of the EKHA-led Joint Statement on Organ Donation and Transplantation, the panel discussion of this year’s Forum will focus on tackling current challenges and barriers to help bring about a shared vision for improving organ donation and transplantation in Europe beyond 2020.
As such, the high-level policy meeting focusing on one of the declared priorities of the Croatian Presidency is likely to have great political weight. The outcomes of the Forum are intended to inform the subsequent ministerial meeting of the Croatian Presidency, to which EKHA President Prof. Raymond Vanholder has been invited as a speaker.
EKHA looks forward to welcoming you to this landmark meeting to be hosted by chairing MEP Hilde Vautmans on behalf of the MEP Group for Kidney Health.
The 2020 European Kidney Forum will take place on Tuesday, March 3rd from 14:00 to 16:00 (CET) in room ASP5E2 of the European Parliament in Brussels. Registration to the event is compulsory and should be done using the link on the official invitation.
